So we decided to give Mr. Dillon a bath...and he did NOT like it at all. I have never heard him cry the way he did.

Ok, so week one went well. He's eating good and sleeping A LOT! But we are absolutely in love with this little boy! I can't imagine my life with out him in it. We went to the Doctor today for his 2 week checkup and my little oinker has gained almost a full pound since last Monday! He was 6.12 then, and today his was 7.6! And 21inches long.

D-Day!

Ok, So I'm a little slack and just now updating. On October 9, 2008 at 3:03 pm Mr Dillon Michael Sharp made his grand apperiance. He weighed in at 7 lbs and 3 oz. And was 20 1/2 inches long. Labor wasn't that bad...all things considering. I woke up around 3 that morning having steady contractions at 5 minutes apart and about a minute long each. Around 4:30 that morning Kevin woke up and saw that I was having contractions and made the call to the Doctor and he said to come on down to the hospital. We got there at 5am and they checked me out and I was about 2.5-3 cm dilated. She then told us to walk around the hospital for about an hour and they were going to re-check me. So after we walked and got re-checked...I progressed to a full 3cm. Around 9:30 am when I was checked...yet again...I was at 4.5 cm and They decided to put me on potosin and speed up my dilation and at that point I opted to get the epidural, but only because there was a scheduled c-section for 10 and there was no telling if I would have a chance to get it afterwards..better to be safe than hurting! After I got the epi, they also broke my water...and then everything began to speed up! Once I started pushing they realized Dillon was "sunny side up" which means he was face up and not face down, so they had to turn him before I could continue. So they turned him and I continued to push he still wasn't making any progress, and the Doc then told me I could keep on or he could help him come...I just told him to get him out! Then the doc used the suction plunger thing to help pull Dillon out. All in all I pushed for only 45 minutes and labor was very easy. Not what I expected at all! I'm very lucky on that aspect!
